Stuttmyndahátíðin Northern Wave fór fram á Grundarfirði um helgina. Eftirtaldar myndir hlutu verðlaun:

Besta myndbandið (áhorfendaverðlaun):

Tarantúlur með hljómsveitinni Úlfur úlfur, leikstjórn Magnús Leifsson.

Hreyfimyndaverðlaun:

The Wind (Þýskaland) eftirRobert Löbel

Umsögn dómnefndar: Thrilled by the quality of the animation and therefore want to award an animation film. The film is very inventive and has an unusual sense of humour built on the power of the wind. The film transcends the struggle of the human kind in a tragi comic way.

Sérstök viðurkenning:

Bahar im Wunderland (Þýskaland) eftirBehrooz Karamizade

Umsögn dómnefndar: The director, Behrooz Karamizade, has strong visual sense of storytelling and expressing emotion. He open up the viewer’s eyes with a message which becomes universal with the young girl asking us to close our eyes in order to see a more positive reality.

Besta alþjóðlega myndin:

Albert (Pólland) by Daniel Wawrzyniak

Umsögn dómnefndar: The director, Daniel Wawrzyniak, succeeded in bringing us into his own vision through his personal cinema language. He undoubtedly has the urge to express the threat to humanity but points out that there is a hope in an imaginative and symbolic way.

Besta islenska myndin:

Megaphone eftir Elsu Maríu Jakobsdóttur

Umsögn dómnefndar: The director, Elsa María Jakobsdóttir, creates truthful characters and captures the tricky mechanism of the relationships between men and women in a deep and interesting way.

Tíðindamaður Klapptrés, Atli Sigurjónsson, mun birta uppgjör sitt um hátíðina síðar í vikunni.
